Hello World,
I am around, and have not pulled a _why -- well, not completely, anyway.
While most of my older works, blogs, and posts have been purged from rubyjedi.com and siblings, you can still find copies or forks floating around on GitHub, SourceForge, and elsewhere; and if you're in a real pinch, it's possible I may still have an old copy or two in my offline archives.
I am taking a small break away from the "Bleeding Edge" of FOSS (Ruby, Rails, Linux, etc), as I am refocusing my attention on a new baby (my first) due in February, 2012.
I'll still keep up with the production and stable releases of Ruby, Rails, and other works I've been involved in; and I'll still find time to pop into the forums and attend a convention or two; but yeah, I am making room for a new addition in my life in a big, big way. :-)
It's been great being at the Edge, corresponding with so many talented folks, and trying out the very latest features. I'm sure I'll be back, but for now, I'm looking forward to spending as much time as I can with the little one on the way.
